Salomon's seamless technology (HF welding) makes the rear portion of the Alert 20 extremely water resistant. 500D Kordura fabric gives optimal durability and protection.
The Airwing waistbelt is padded for more comfort and stability. Two large zippered pockets are built into the waistbelt. The waistbelt also has a carabiner loop on each side. Yoke style S-shaped shoulder straps have 3D Airmesh and are lightly padded. Adjustable sternum strap moves up or down 5 inches. 3 Airvent foam pads protect your back. The Airvent system allows crucial ventilation.
External bladder access makes changing your hydration faster. On the back panel of the backback, a Velco pad pulls up to give you fast access to the hydration sleeve. Hose ports are over each should strap.
Side compression straps enable you to adjust the volume to fit the contents of your pack. Two mesh side pockets provide quick access to gear. Reflective strips give additional visibility and safety at night. A tow loop on the rear is easy to clip to.
Inside the backpack are two organizer pockets and a pump holder. Material is water resistant. Water resistant zippers keep gear dry in the rain and snow.
