Dutch Adventure Racing Team DART MERRELL Print

The Dutch Adventure Racing Team (DART Merrell) was founded in 2000 by Raymond Beeren and Christine van Donselaar. DART = Dutch Adventure Racing Team and Merrell is their sponsor.

Amount of training

Depends on the season and the race shcedule (3 to 6 times a week, between 5 and 12 hours). Once a month a teamtraining

We aways carry the name DART and the rest of the name is sposor related.

- becoming dutch champion in 2005, finishing terra incognita 2006 on third place
- finishing AR in Chech republik on fourth place

- Giving up at the terra incognita 2003 due to an injury.
- Giving up at Slovenia AR due to an injury.

What is the biggest difficulty when going to races in foreign countries? Transport, money…?

Yes.

How developed is adventure racing as a sport in Netherlands?

Not. Ok we have a group of people that doing their best to organize things for adventureracers in the Netherlands with a real adventure racing association (NARB)

Great race. Hard and good organized, nice environment

The races are mostly canceled due to lack of competitors. Organization could be better.
