Biggest adventure in 2007 |

Contestants are slowly counting the last days till the start of the worlds biggest expeditions. Twelve brave and determined contestants are going to leave »this world« and travel across Africa for the next 5 months using only the strangth of their muscles.

Nearly 13.500 kilometers from Cape Town (SAR) to Alexandry (Egipt) will be overcomed by cycling (8000 km), trekking (300 km, 1 marathon in Namibya and and ultramarathon in the Calahari desert), cayak and raft (2250 km, including rafting on Zambezi river, although spectacular, one of the most dangerous in the world).
On their way they will also perform some local stuff like driving quades through desert, bungee jumping, trips to Mt. Kilimanjaro (5895 m) and Mt. Kenya (5199 m) and a Masai sacred crater Oldoinyo Langai (2950 m).
It maybe seems just like another fun story from far away and about unknown people, but this is not the case this time. Team is made out of boys from the »neighbourhood«: Hungary (Hidvegi-Ustos Pal-expedition leader), Czech republic, Slovak republic, Slovenia (Robert Rakovec), Croatia (Ivan Kapovic), Ukraine and Russia (Artem Rostovstev). The rest of the team (not mentioned) are people with a little thinner adventure racing background but everyone of them has the same important role. As the youngest(19) team member said: »I can't run as fast and as long as you, but I can make the most confortable outdoor toilet«. After all, this is not a 2-day event, it's a 5-months »almost-big-brother« experience. After a few days, they will probably already be as one and work as a perfect team.
Eventhough one of the sponsors is superultramegapopular Salomon (the main sponsor is still kept a secret), they we're not really openhanded when talking about gear. Members had to arrange almost every part of equipment themselves.
