Race Day II, 00:36 CET
There was another change in the lead. The new leading team is Slovenian quartet of team Lima - Salomon adventureteam.si. Local boys and a girl were the quickest in extremely tough night orienteering. Czech team Salomon/Nutrend CZ AR Team is 10 minutes behind and French team Les Arcs - Quechua who was leading the way until that point lost their way a bit and is still not on CP 15.
Meanwhile all the teams are at least on their way to CP14 as everybody left CP13 (Mozirski gaj).

Race Day II, 04:49 CET
Night has caused a lot of damage to the teams. It is also due to bad weather that teams aren't progressing as quickly as organizers thought. But there is still a real battle going on for the top...
The first two teams (Salomon/Nutrend CZ AR Team (Czech Republic) and Lima - Salomon adventureteam.si (Slovenia)) left CP17 (Koèa na Loki) at exactly 4.11 a.m.
And then it happened, The above mentioned thunder storms and heavy rains stopped the race and all the teams that were at CP18 before 7 a.m. CET had to wait for sky to open again. And then ... the race went on. It's now a slightly bigger gap on the top as Salomon/Nutrend CZ AR Team increased their lead over the best Slovenian team Lima - Salomon adventureteam.si to almost half an hour and French team Les Arcs - Quechua is one further hour behind.

It's off to the mountains now for the teams and the race is surely not decided yet. But as far as the things stand at the moment - we are in for a treat in the second half of competition and it seems like we are getting a winner from a fifth different country in Adventure race Slovenia races. Just to remember - in previous four competitions wins went to Great Britain, Poland, France and Austria.

Teams are coming come. And what a sweet homecoming it will be for the home team. Slovenia's best team, Lima - Salomon adventureteam.si overtook the Czech team, who then were forced to withdraw due to injury. They presently have a one hour and a half lead over now second-placed French team Les Arcs - Quechua.

It was a stormy second evening at Adventure race Slovenia 2007. But this time it wasn't the weather. It was the excitement of the race that rocked the casual afternoon. Here is adventurace.si diary:

Race day II, 19:49

That means that the Slovenians gained 39 minutes in the last stage (11,5 km of trekking, 290 metres of altitude difference). The Czech team is still in the lead, though, as they have more time deductions. It's going to be a hard battle till the end ...

Race day II, 21:33
Incredible! It's becoming an epic battle for victory ... Lima - Salomon adventureteam.si (Slovenia) came to CP27 (Bistrièica) 10 minutes before the Czech team Salomon/Nutrend CZ AR and when we add the time deductions these teams are equal to the minute.

Race day II, 23:00
The Slovenian team Lima - Salomon adventureteam.si arrived at CP28 (Grad) at 22.27. At the moment (22.56) CP28 hasn't yet welcomed the Czech or French team on that CP. The Slovenian advantage over the rest of the pack will therefore be at least 20 minutes ...
And then it was end of the race for Czech team Salomon/Nutrend CZ AR. One of their team members injured his leg and it was game over for Tomas Vanek & Co. And it was going great for them until late afternoon ...

The race is nearing its end. It's almost certain now that it's going to be a Slovenian victory. Race recap will be available late in the afternoon CET.
